Tax Parcel Data Search –County Supervisory Districts & Voting Districts Available – November 2009

Columbia County Board of Supervisor Districts and Voting Districts are now available for all ‘active’ tax parcels on the Columbia County Tax Parcel Data Search

By clicking the "Districts" tab all districts, including county supervisory districts and voting districts, will be listed.  Voting district features were created by the local municipalities through the US Census Bureau 2000 Redistricting Project.  County supervisor district boundaries were developed as part of the redistricting efforts of the Columbia County Board of Supervisors.  Data is maintained by the Land Information Department from information provided by the County Clerk and local Clerk's or officials.

Columbia County is represented by thirty-one (31) elected County Board Supervisors. From the Board, a County Board Chairman is elected to serve on a part-time basis.  County Board Supervisors are appointed, by the County Board Chairman, to serve as members of committees and commissions for specific programs and for departments of county government. General powers of the County Board are provided under Wis. Stats. 59.07. The Board's powers are exercised through the resolutions and ordinances it adopts. Primary functions include adoption of the County budget, oversight of County facilities, adoption of County ordinances/resolutions pertaining to County affairs, adoption of policies governing administration of the County and appointment of various County officials, board and commissions.
