WHAT TYPES OF ASSISTANCE ARE AVAILABLE?
Columbia County has recently been awarded funds through the Community Development Block Grant-Emergency Assistance Program (CDBG-EAP) that will assist households with flood and/or tornado damage. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no cost to fill out an application and all information submitted is strictly confidential.
These funds are granted to the eligible applicants; therefore, no funds need to be paid back to the County! These funds are for eligible disaster related expenses that have not been paid for at this time, such as furnace or water heater replacement and these funds can be used to reimburse an applicant for disaster related work already completed if supporting documentation can be provided.
