COLUMBIA COUNTY HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER - Friday, December 19, 2014
Under the direction of the Highway Committee, this position has the overall and primary responsibility to administer and oversee the operation of the Highway and Transportation Department including all programs and staff. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience and responsibility in an engineering environment, OR Associate Degree from an accredited vocational or technical school in civil engineering, and a familiarity with accounting principles coupled with at least seven (7) years of administrative experience, including budgetary responsibilities in the engineering, highway or transportation industry. A Professional Engineer’s license is desirable for this position. Valid Wisconsin Drivers License required. Availability for emergency call for varying lengths of time on a 24 hour, 7-day basis. 2015 salary range: $40.04 - $51.48 per hours based on 2080 hours per year. Substitute Meal Site Manager
Columbia County Health & Human Services is looking for Substitute Meal Site Managers to fill in on an as-needed basis at the Wisconsin Dells, Lodi, Portage, Pardeeville, Poynette or Columbus senior nutrition program. Responsibilities include ordering, set up, prep of home delivered meals, delivery of meals as needed, assisting individuals needing help, clean-up, monitoring supplies, accepting donations and executing planned activities. Completion of Serving Safe Food training program within 6 months of hire. Requires a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and clean driving record, ability to maintain accurate records, ability to be courteous, pleasant and helpful to the elderly and/or disabled. Background check is required and will be completed by employer. HIRE RATE: $9.00 per hour.
