Success Stories

Columbia Health Care Center is pleased to share some wonderful stories of patients who have successfully completed their rehabilitation program and returned to home.

Patty says, “I enjoyed working with all my therapists, I can do a lot more now than I could before becoming ill. I really enjoyed all the interaction with other patients I met in therapy. I enjoyed all the staff here immensely. I have come a long way toward my goal of walking and returning to home.”

Carolyn says, “My therapy was excellent, the therapists make rehab fun, every day I laughed! My therapy helped me achieve my goal of returning home. The nurses and c.n.a staff are all very helpful, friendly and anxious to give good care. I will miss all the people I have met here.”

Columbia Health Care - Therapy

Columbia Health Care Center's Rehabilitation Professionals help people improve function related to activities of daily living. Rehabilitation Therapy can enable residents to move better, feel better, and function better.

Time spent in a skilled nursing facility or nursing home can be actively filled and engaging. Rehabilitation Therapy can help residents develop function as well as an increased sense of competency and personal happiness. Rehabilitation therapy can enable residents to “live life to its fullest,” from helping short-term rehab residents regain the skills needed to return to home or to enhancing the lives of long-term residents.

A skilled nursing facility is not always a permanent residence it is a healthcare facility that provides continual medical care and therapy. The population in skilled nursing facilities is changing as patients are staying in hospitals for less time. Many patients now come into skilled nursing facilities to continue their recovery and return to home.

Recovering from a serious illness or injury can be one of the greatest challenges a person can face. The Rehabilitation Program at Columbia Health Care Center is committed to doing everything we can to help our residents “live life to its fullest”

We celebrate success daily at Columbia Health Care Center. Mary, Betty, Howard, and Phyllis are a few examples of residents who have come to CHCC for continued medical nursing care and therapy with a goal to return to home. We congratulate them and all of our patients for their hard work on achieving their goals.
