The Columbia County Clerk's Office is an agent for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in issuing hunting and fishing licenses.
WHERE TO APPLY: In the Columbia County Clerk's Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is located in the:
Columbia County Administration Building
112 East Edgewater Street
Licenses may also be purchased at Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Offices and many private businesses throughout the county.
Once you have purchased a license, an old license can be used instead of the above items as documentation.
- Verification of residence, which can be a valid Wisconsin driver license, Wisconsin Department of Transportation identification card, or other acceptable documentation verifying name and address.
- Hunter’s Safety Certification Card if born after 1/1/1973
- Knowledge of your social security number.
