WIR - Wisconsin Immunization Registry WIR is the Wisconsin Immunization Registry. It is a secure computerized Internet database that was developed to record and track immunization dates of Wisconsin's children. It helps providers in keeping children on track for their immunizations. WIR is for providers to communicate and insure that children receive their immunizations. We participate in the Wisconsin Immunization Registry to keep up to date records of immunizations. Parents can now access their child's immunization record in WIR.Either the child's Social Security number or Medicaid ID number is needed for secure access. Top of Page Influenza Influenza (the flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at high risk for serious flu complications. The best way to prevent the flue is by getting vaccinated each year. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a flu vaccine.
