Columbia County Emergency Management operates under Chapter 323 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Emergency Management coordinates emergency response and recovery efforts in support of county and local governments. Through effective all hazards planning and training, we can establish preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts to prevent loss of lives and property during a crisis situation. We create emergency response plans and assist local entities with their emergency plans in addition to conducting and participating in exercises to better prepare our first responders.
