COLUMBIA COUNTY ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY
Columbia County Highway & Transportation and volunteer groups recognize the need and the desirability of litter-free highways. Volunteer groups may apply for a section of road that they would like to keep clean.
Terms & Conditions
- The group shall select a section at least 1 mile in length.
- The group will pick up litter three times a year between April 1st and November 1st for a three year period.
- The group can either drop off the filled trash bags at any Columbia County Highway Shop or place the bags at the designated pickup site and contact the Highway Department.
- The Highway Department will supply the group with safety vests, trash bags, traffic safety signs, and marker flags.
