Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting to fill a vacancy in our 911 center.   Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; related work experience preferably in operating two-way radio equipment, with strong computer and communication skills.  Must have the ability to effectively multitask, simultaneously using multiple information systems. Jail Deputy - $100 MONTHLY COVID-19 PAY

Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting to fill current vacancies for a Jail Deputy. Schedule is 12-hour shifts with every other 3-day weekend off. Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent; excellent moral character; dependable; and ability to handle and control prisoners. Selection process includes oral interviews, background investigation, medical & psychological evaluations, drug and alcohol screenings, county residency not required.  Hire rate $23.463-$26.809 per hour, based on experience and certification. Columbia County also offers the following incentives:

 

·         Additional Two Dollars ($2) per hour weekend pay.

·         Columbia County also offers a temporary COVID-19 premium payment of $100 per month. 

·         Jail staff who complete five (5) years of service in the Jail shall receive a one-time payment of Two Thousand Dollard ($2,000).

·         Jail staff who retire from the County at age fifty-five (55) or above with at least twenty-five (25) years of continuous service with the Sheriff’s Office, shall receive Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) into a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) per year, through the age of sixty-five (65).

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting to fill vacancies for part-time sworn deputy sheriffs who will provide various capacities of armed law enforcement security. These part-time positions will work an average of 18 hours per week. The work days will vary during the week and will consist of day shift hours. Main duties will consist of court security, transports, boat patrol, and maintain security of any premises which may include the Columbia County Jail, Columbia County Courthouse, Columbia County Administration Building, or any other premise or area when assigned by the Sheriff or his designee. Human Services Aide

Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, with Columbia County Health & Human Services, Division of Children & Families. Position will support Youth Justice and Child Protective Services.  Ability to perform a variety of moderately complex office and clerical procedures, support Social Work staff, transport youth and families, and establish engagement with families to promote positive parenting techniques while supervising family interactions for children in out of home care.  Qualifications:  Computer experience required.
