Columbia County Health and Human Services is hiring two full-time Economic Support Specialists to join our team. These positions are vital customer service roles that determine eligibility for public assistance programs for Columbia County and seven surrounding counties as part of the Capital Consortium. You will assist clients via inbound and outbound calls, determine eligibility for programs like FoodShare, Medical Assistance, BadgerCare Plus, Child Care, Caretaker Supplement, and Elderly, Blind, and Disabled benefits. You will maintain a caseload and accurately process applications and renewals, and apply complex rules and regulations using sound judgement. Columbia County WIC is looking for a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. This is a part-time position averaging about twelve (12) hours per week in the Health and Human Services Department.  Hire rate: $15.79/hour. REQUIRES: individual to have personal and positive breastfeeding experience for 6 months or longer, have availability Sunday-Saturday 8am-8pm, valid driver’s license, experience in using basic office computer programs, and ability to communicate effectively via text, emails, phone calls and in person. Senior field manager position within Columbia County Highway & Transportation Department; responsibilities include; but are not limited to, project supervision, field management, asset program coordination, permitting, safety, quality control, traffic control, and assist Commissioner with maintaining equipment, buildings & grounds, bridges, culverts, roads, safety devices, signage, and road right-of-way on the State, County, and Town road systems within the county. Newly hired dispatchers should expect to work traditional 2^nd or 3^rd shift hours. Shifts are 12 hours in length, on a two-week rotating schedule, with every other 3-day weekend off (Pitman schedule).
