What records can I
access? Columbia County’s real
estate documents are available from 1828 to the current date;
however, the Register of Deeds staff are in the process of verifying many of
those documents to ensure record quality and accuracy. Please note, prior to November 1, 1987 you will not be able to
access the index or images for federal tax liens, federal tax lien releases,
lis pendens, lis pendens releases and UCC documents and all corporation records;
you will need to come to the Register of Deeds office to search for those
documents.

How Do I Get
Started? You will need to complete a Laredo Agreement and a Laredo Escrow
Account Receipt. Subscribers are required to deposit, in advance, an initial
amount equal to three (3) months of the rate plan selected. Below are the
two forms that you will need to print, complete and return to the Columbia
County Register of Deeds. Business check or money order should be made payable
to Register of Deeds.
