The Columbia County Office of Emergency Management is responsible for preparing Columbia County to respond to any kind of crisis situations through training, exercising, and awareness.  We write emergency response plans as well as assist locals with their emergency plans too.  We conduct as well as participate in exercises on a regular basis to better prepare our first responders.  The four phases of Emergency Management used to help prevent loss of life and property are: PREPAREDNESS, RESPONSE, RECOVERY, AND MITIGATION.  If you have any questions on what we do please feel free to contact us.
