Founded on the banks of Duck Creek by merchants, blacksmiths and grist mill operators to support the areas farmers, Wyocena still retains the spirit of those early entrepreneurs. We are still supporting the area only now it is gas and convenience items for the many area residents that commute to Madison to work. Three of the early buildings, the General Store, the stage coach stop and hotel, and the school building still grace main street. Duck Creek is now named Wyona Lake and provides year around recreational activities and splendid sunsets.
