Across the country, countless families are struggling to meet even the most basic hygiene needs. While food pantries play a vital role, they rarely stock essentials like soap, deodorant, toothpaste, or feminine hygiene products—items for which no government assistance exists. As a result, one in three low‑income families struggle to afford basic household necessities, and nearly three in four have had to cut back on food simply to purchase hygiene products.
These difficult choices can lead to children attending school without clean clothes, adults missing work, and individuals facing stigma that harms their confidence and opportunities. Our hygiene closet and hygiene drive were created to remove these barriers, ensuring that community members can stay healthy, feel confident, and fully participate in school and work. By supporting this effort, you’re helping lift obstacles that stand between individuals and the stability, dignity, and opportunity they deserve.
Our hygiene closet is avaible to anyone who lives in Columbia County in need, it can be utilized monthly to get needed supplies.
Our hygiene closet is 100% supported by donations from our community. We hold an annual hygiene drive every April, check back in April to learn more.
