The Register of Deeds office has the ability to set up escrow accounts for our business partners. The advantages to maintaining an escrow account include:
Real estate documents are not returned if transaction fee is incorrect.
Copies of real estate documents are attainable the same day via email or fax. Please note register of deeds staff does not provide record searching. Therefore the customer would be required to provide the document number and/or volume and page of the document(s) requested.
Monthly escrow reports are sent to customers to monitor activity and balances.
