*REMINDER: 2ND INSTALLMENT PROPERTY TAXES ARE DUE TO THE COUNTY TREASURER BY JULY 31ST, 2025*

 

During the month of July only, you may pay your 2nd installment property taxes to Associated Banks in Columbus, Lodi, and Portage along with the Community Bank of Portage (by Walmart)

**If your 2nd installment property taxes are unpaid/late, interest & penalty accrues since February (total of 10.5%)

 

 

**Columbia County will be foreclosing on any unpaid 2021 real estate property taxes in 2025**

Starting on May 1, 2025 there will be a $60.00 foreclosure fee per parcel applied 

Starting on June 1, 2025 there will be a $225.00 foreclosure fee per parcel applied

Payment Options for Delinquent Taxes:

1. Pay online with credit card or echeck. Note: Additional fees are charged by   
Point & Pay. Click here for instructions on how to pay taxes online.

2. Mail payment to County Treasurer's Office: PO Box 198, Portage, WI 53901.

3. Pay in person at the County Treasurer's Office: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Please read the Instructions carefully on how to claim your funds. Please fill out the Affidavit of Ownership and Indemnity Agreement form and return to the Columbia County Accounting Office.
