Thank you for visiting us on the website of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.  I am honored to serve as your Sheriff.  I have worked for the Sheriff’s Office for over 30 years and am proud of the good men and women that serve with me.  The dedicated and loyal servants that put on the uniform and badge every day are true heroes.

Our fundamental duties are to serve the community, safeguard lives and property, protect the innocent, keep the peace, and to ensure the rights of all to liberty, equality, and justice. My staff and I take these responsibilities very seriously.  If you come here to commit crimes, we will arrest you and you will face legal consequences.

Our mission statement is simple: “Protecting our community with professional and competent law enforcement while serving with integrity.”  Our standard and expectations for all of our staff are very high.   We believe that a Columbia County Deputy needs to put the needs of others before themselves, have the compassion to truly help others, and to show empathy to others who have mis-stepped.  We take our oath seriously and strive every day to keep you safe and to protect your constitutional rights.

We welcome feedback and encourage your thoughts and ideas.  We want our citizens to get involved in helping keep Columbia County a safe and enjoyable place to live and visit.  Please contact us if you have comments, concerns, questions, or praise for our staff.
